mark, that made me cry. i haven't seen you since, and guess i should have said something to you sooner. i think that is one of the most frightening thoughts to me, since, as you know, i am close to tanya and my other siblings. this was beautiful and honest tribute to the best sort of friend one can have - a sibling.

Hello Mark,
Yes, I too have had some ugly moment with my brother--mostly rooted to one rotten girlfriend of his. Lucky for me, time has washed away those times. Tom and I have have had and still do have some great adventures--wouldn't trade him for the world as I know you would have not done to Rick under the worst of times.
I too have share some of the same as Howard--I got Rick his first job with Gib-Mor. What times those were.
There is one thing for sure is that life is just to dam short!

Mark,I remember when you got the news about your brother's illness and how devastated you were. I have a younger brother who for some reason always supported and looked up to me even when I didn't deserve it. It's clear that you cared very much for your brother. I hope your brother's memory will continue to have a positive influence on your life.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go
Author Unknown
When I come to the end of the road,
and the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little—but not too long,
and not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that was once shared.
Miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take, and each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the master’s plan, a step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know.
Bear your sorrow in good deeds. Miss me, but let me go.
My deepest condolences, Mark.

Very touching and very true. I met Rick when I was 15. He taught me more about playing music than anyone and I'm still playing over 30 years later. Rick and I were like blood brothers for a couple of years then over time we drifted apart. He could be one arrogant SOB at times, but he was intelligent, quick witted, funny, and a balls guitarist. Above all we connected mentally on that higher level that you only have with a certain few people in this life. Hey Mark - you forgot about enjoying an ice cold Natonal Premium (or several). Peace to you my brother Rick.

Mark
I remember reading on Shocklines about the death of your brother. I was truly sorry then and more so now. I didn't know the details but believe that you were an excellent brother and that he knew that. I hope you have found peace as I am sure he has. This was a very touching memorial.
