Cavallaro's Cavalcade of Carnage
I'm having a hard time writing this review.

It isn't because I don't have anything to say about it.

I really want to tell you a detailed reason why I loved it. I also want to go on, at length, about how good I think Triana is and how much I think he is getting even better. Again, with detail about which books of his you should read and reasons why you should read them.

But both of these things would break my two biggest rules for reviews:

1: Keep it short. Readers want to read books, not reviews.
2: No spoilers, including vague plot summaries.

Now I'm really out of time. Here goes.

Don't be fooled by the classy retro-style artwork (not that Kris isn't classy). This is an extreme horror pulp crime fiction story. It's twisted, dark, and very violent. You know....all the stuff that Kristopher likes. It's also very fast-paced; I read it in two sittings. If you're already a fan of his, you should probably be pre-ordering from Stygian Sky Media because I'm 100% sure you will like this.

If you aren't (yet) a fan, I'd still recommend And The Devil Cried. Plus these:

Full Brutal
Gone to See the River Man
Toxic Love

I also suspect that the title of this book was inspired by the Black Sabbath/Dio song, "The Devil Cried," which isn't really a selling point (maybe) but a one-degree separation between a book and Dio can't be a bad thing, right?

Grade: A
