Cavallaro's Cavalcade of Carnage
I'll make this quick.

There IS fun to be had in this 1980s-inspired horror anthology. There are even a good number of heavy hitters contributing (Lansdale, F. Paul Wilson, and John Skipp to name a few). These were my four favorites:

"Stranger Danger" by Grady Hendrix. Undisputedly the best story in the anthology. Anyone familiar with Hendrix knows that he can really nail 80's nostalgia. Extra points for Halloween theme too. Perfect.

"Munchies" by Lucy A. Snyder. This is just insane, Troma-esque kind of fun. I've read two of her collections, and this may actually be my favorite short story from her.

"Ten Miles of Bad Road" by Stephen Graham Jones. Nice little revenge tale.

"Ghetto Blaster" by Jeff Strand. Absurd. But that's what Strand does right?

But...not every story is at the level of these four, which is going to drop the overall grade.

Grade: C
