I really liked Heuvelt's witch novel, Hex. So, predictably, I was excited to receive an advance copy of his newest novel (out on February 8th). 
Imagine my disappointment when the first few chapters reel me in, only for the next 300 pages to bore me to death? I really do like the premise, and there ARE some nice scares sprinkled in, but for the most part...
Too slow, too many pages, insufficient payoff.
