Kitty wants nothing more than to be an actress that everyone adores and hires without a moments hesitation. The lengths that she will go are not out of the ordinary for those hoping to make it big, but when she crosses the wrong man with his new drug, all bets are off the table.
Luke is an actor without a path. Once at the top of his game, he has found himself barely able to find voice acting work after the tragic end of his wife. Almost everyone blames him for her death, his shirt covered in her blood, even though there was no body to be found, and Luke without a recollection as to what happened. In a moment of weakness, Luke finds himself barreling towards his own demise, before Kitty comes to his rescue.
An unlikely pair, both hoping for their own fame, but each with their own path on how to get there. The only problem is, there are those who will stop at nothing to strip it all away, even if it means showing all their cards to the world.
This is my first read from Rio, and I can say I will be reading more. I have another book of his (The Forgotten Girl) that is going up my TBR pile. The characters in No Second Chances are engaging, the plot just at the edge of crazy while holding it in the realm of possibility. A very good read, from a very cool person. I would like to thank Rio and his publisher for allowing me an Advanced Copy of the book, which is due out in February of this year. Overall, I'd give this one an A and encourage fans new and old to Rio's work to check it out.
