Kyle Lybeck's Literary Lair Spungunion: (pronounced: Spun-Gun-Yun) noun; 1.) a dish made from rotting road kill, usually a skunk or an opossum. The more fragrant or maggoty, the better. 2.) Something that's been on the road for a long and unfortunate time...

The latest novella from John Boden revolves around a recently widowed trucker by the name of Deke Larch, an atrocity he has not forgotten and never will. What makes it worse, is that he has no idea who murdered his beloved. Crushed and lonely, Deke tries his best to function around others in society, while his world has been stolen from him.

Mixed within is loss, love, death, and all those who make up our crazy world, from its deepest depths, to its oddest corners. In the end, Deke must find what is truly meant for him, and only him, in this new life he is forced to embody.

John takes us on a tale of oddity and heartbreak, with a writing style all his own, and a group of characters that brings forth the reality of many a rural town in America. I would give his latest a B+.
