Has anyone seen this ?

I'll be diving in tonight. Looks like a freeking hoot n a half !

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2675914/?ref_=tt_rec_tt

And finally ran across the new movie ( just now ! ) from writers/directors of YELLOWBRICKROAD. One of my favorite horror films of the past decade and one I know Pic, damn I miss that man, that Pic watched then called a buddy and they watched it the next night. Some hate it, some love it. It's the ending that had people tossing javelins at each other.

Cannot wait to watch this.

I had high hopes for We Go On, but was a bit disappointed. It's still worth watching though.

The lead actor was fairly unconvincing, even given the type of person he was meant to portray. Al the supporting actors were pretty good, from memory.

It has an interesting premise, and there's a GREAT twist midway (?) into the movie, but after that... the movie completely fails to build on it. Severe lack of genuine thrills after that point. And the ending is completely limp.
Honestly they could have chopped off the film at the half way point - cue music *DAH DAH DAAAAH* - and it would have made a perfect Twilight Zone episode.

Cool beans, Doc. Just finished it. Damn good, black humored fun ( best part was the wife punch--- "YES!", backstabings, killings, all killed named with a cross, movie continues. Oh, you probably know that already. Duh.

Anyway, the very last death was so far from left field I roared, thought hell was THAT for ?
Then laughed some more.

Any time Doc, ma man !

Listen. I've been singing this movies' praises for about a year now, you may have seen a thread or...ten... Wink

Film based on Mo Hayder's novel THE TREATMENT. One of the best thrillers I've ever
seen. It's rough going at times but the ending will knock your socks off.

See if you can locate it.

Speaking of, there are three films I believe are also Norwegian, a series about a grumpy detective cloistered to cold cases called Dept Q cuz he's an asshole who breaks rules to solve cases with a Islamic, cheerful partner. The 3rd and last is wildy intense and a gut-punch. All are good but the third will have you in tears.

Have you heard of them ? If not, would you like for me to locate all titles, english/norweigan and PM them to you ? With imdb links ?

I'd be thrilled to do it as if you have not seen them you will have a blast.

Layta ! Glad to have made a suggestion you dug.

Oh, if you run across a movie called INTERIOR, let me know where you found it.
If you go to the web site there are a few short films and I shit you negative, watch the last one. Bottom left...? Think it is called " Where Is Alice". Where a guy interviews an old lady in a nrsing home. Good lord.
I rarely get chills but that sucker ? Wow. It is as good a short film as..." The10 Steps"...?
Anyway, the two...three? short films on the site deal with the main film INTERIOR and I need to see it.

Thanks !

Markus.

Thanks for the further recs!

The Treatment sounds good; looking for it now. Mo Hayder is one of those novelists I've always thought about trying. Too many authors, not enough time. Wink

I'd be interested in that trilogy of films you're talking about. I really like foreign crime and horror - something about the "otherness" of them adds to the experience.
